Anthony Spitaleri: Mayor, City of Sunnyvale.Anthony Spitaleri: Championing Sustainable Solutions Anthony “Tony” Spitaleri is the current Mayor of Sunnyvale, California, and has served as the President of the Palo Alto Professional Firefighters Union since 1976. He has also completed 36 years of service with the Fire Department of Palo Alto, California, and is a retired Palo Alto Fire Captain and Public Information Officer. Mayor Spitaleri’s current government activities include: the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) General Assembly, the League of California Cities (LCC) Employee Relations Policy Committee, and the Cities Association of Santa Clara County (CASCC) City Selection Committee. His service on the U.S. Conference of Mayors includes the following standing committees: Jobs, Education, and Workforce; Children, Health, and Human Services; and International Affairs.
